In a significant step toward fostering regional development, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially signed the bill establishing the North-Central Development Commission (NCDC) into law.
The momentous announcement was made on Tuesday by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during a session in the Senate chamber. Akpabio expressed optimism that the newly established commission would accelerate development efforts in the region, with a focus on addressing grassroots challenges.
“Let me also inform my colleagues that Mr. President has assented to the North-Central Development Commission Establishment Bill 2024, a vital step in bringing development to the grassroots,” Akpabio stated.
