In An event, that drew applause from community members and local stakeholders, graced by the Senior Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor on Finance, Hon. Wale Kuku, who served as the representative and face of the state government, Is the event of continuation of grassroots-led efforts to complement the Ogun State Government’s educational development drive, as Hon. Samod Opemipo Balogun, Councilor representing Ward Three in Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area distributed school uniforms, shoes, educational materials to over 65 pupils and first aid kits to Schools in ijebu-Ode, at the ceremony BoldNEWS Africa was on ground.

Hon. Wale Kuku, the face of governor at event praised the initiative, describing it as a prime example of grassroots governance in action and a worthy complement to the education-focused vision of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration.
“The Prince Dapo Abiodun-led government has made building the future of our children through solid educational foundations a top priority,” Kuku said.

“What Hon. Samod Balogun has done here today is not only commendable, it also directly aligns with the Governor’s ‘Building Our Future Together’ agenda and the ISEYA mantra of inclusive development.”
The governor’s aide emphasized that the state government is well aware of, and deeply appreciative of, public officials and citizens who take proactive steps to amplify the government’s impact at the local level.
He noted that the gesture of distributing new uniforms, exercise books, shoes, and first aid materials is evidence of Hon. Balogun’s commitment to expanding the reach of good governance in his constituency.
“This is what leadership at the local level should look like, identifying problems and acting swiftly without waiting for handouts from the state. It lightens the burden on government while deepening democratic dividends to the people,” Hon. Kuku added.

He further remarked that positively impacting over 65 pupils in one initiative clearly demonstrates genuine loyalty to the administration’s goals and should be a model for others in public service.
Encouraging Hon. Balogun to remain consistent and not relent in his efforts, Kuku prayed for the grace and strength for him to undertake even more projects for the benefit of his constituents.

The Special Adviser also used the occasion to call on private individuals and organizations to support the government through Public-Private Partnerships (PPP), noting that collaboration between the public and private sectors remains essential for sustainable development.
