In a landmark initiative aimed at empowering young members of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) within Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area, the Alliance for Kamosky, in collaboration with the Office of the APC Youth Leader, successfully organized a comprehensive two-day Skills Acquisition Program, which empowered 335 APC youths drawn from the eleven wards of the Local Government.
The impactful event featured intensive training sessions for young men and women of Ijebu-Ode Local Government over the course of two days. It was held under the visionary leadership of Hon. Kamorudeen Olawale Yusuf (popularly known as Kamosky), the founder of Alliance for Kamosky and Personal Assistant to the President on Special Duty, in collaboration with the Office of the APC Youth Leader, ably led by Alhaji Hon. Ibitayo Ibraheem Oluwaseyi, popularly known as Asiwaju Ofin Aremu.
The training program, a joint effort of the Alliance for Kamosky Foundation and the Office of the APC Youth Leader, took place at Ijebu-Ode Muslim College. The program brought together an impressive number of participants, who were exposed to practical, hands-on training across various skillsets, with a strong emphasis on entrepreneurship, self-reliance, and economic empowerment.
The program concluded with the formal presentation of Certificates of Merit-Based Skill Acquisition to all individuals who successfully completed the training modules. These certificates stand as a testament to the participants’ dedication, discipline, and newly acquired competencies, positioning them for economic independence and professional advancement.
In continuation of the empowerment agenda, an additional 150 APC youths are scheduled to receive empowerment support on Wed., 24th September 2025, bringing the total number of direct beneficiaries of this initiative to 485. This empowerment drive is being spearheaded by the Office of the APC Youth Leader, Ijebu-Ode, under the effective leadership of Alhaji Hon. Ibitayo Ibraheem Oluwaseyi (Asiwaju Ofin Aremu).
This ongoing initiative is a clear demonstration of the progressive mindset of the Ijebu-Ode APC Youth Leadership, and it reinforces the unwavering commitment of the APC National, State, Local Government Leaders to youth development, poverty alleviation, and sustainable empowerment through skills acquisition and capacity-building.
And the collaborative efforts between the Alliance for Kamosky and the APC Youth Wing reflect a shared vision to equip the next generation of leaders with the tools and opportunities necessary to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving economy.
Indeed, this initiative marks a commendable step forward in building a self-reliant, empowered, and prosperous future for the youths in Ijebu-Ode and beyond.
